The Fisher Price Kid-Tough FP3 Player - What It's All About: This kid friendly digital mp3 player from Fisher Price has the capability to play either songs or stories which can be downloaded off the Fisher Price website. The Kid-Tough FP3 player is truly a revolutionary idea in the kid's electronic market, being modelled after a traditional grown-up MP3 player. Kids will love having their very own MP3 and story player, where they can listen to their favorites over and over again.
What It Looks Like: The kid's MP3 and story player is housed in a kid resistant protective shell made of rubber to minimize damage through falls or rough handling. It has a basic 1.4" LCD screen which displays the song/story being played. The kid's player has large easy to use buttons. Kid sized headphones are included.
How It Works: The Fisher Price Kid-Tough FP3 player either plays songs or stories depending on what's been selected using the kid-friendly icons displayed on the screen. A few basic stories and songs have been pre-loaded on the player, but it is highly unlikely that you'd want to stick only to those. A wide selection of more popular listening material can be downloaded off the Fisher Price Song and Story Online Store - for a fee of course!
More Features: SD Card slot for expandable memory, headphones, neck strap. However, batteries are not included.
Negative Points: I like the way the player is designed, and it's ease of use. However, in order to download songs and stories, you have to actually buy each one through Fisher-Price's online Song and Story store, which can work out pretty expensive over the long run. Songs run from a dollar to around 10 dollars for an album, and stories cost about 2 dollars a piece. Although you do have an extensive selection of top quality listening options, you still have to shell out the money for it!
